Day Trip to Yakima for Sharing the Harvest
On the border of the Central African Republic (CAR), Fulani women are tending to a garden, a work initiated by CEFA, an agricultural center and training farm focused on improving food security in the CAR. CEFA is supported by sharing the harvest through Covenant world relief and their partner Growing Hope Globally (formerly Foods Resource Bank). Their work on this garden will mean they will be able to raise their own food to eat and possibly to sell to meet other needs. Care for refugees also means empowering them where they are. And Immanuel can be a part of that work.
For the last several years, churches in the Pacific Northwest Conference have been sharing through a ministry called Sharing the Harvest (STH). STH sells apples donated by yakima growers to participating PacNW churches and all those resources go to CEFA. You can sign up to be a part of this simple, effective, and fun ministry simply by buying a bag of $10 apples -- or better yet, help pack the hundreds of bags of apples sold to churches! Packing day is family friendly and happening on Saturday, October 26th at Wiley Heights Covenant Church in Yakima (12504 Gilbert Road, Yakima). As a thanks, you are invited to an incredible master BBQ lunch that day!
Ready to pile in the car? Caravan leaves at 7:30 am, SAT 10/26, ETA Yakima 11:00 am

5th Anniversary Sunday!
We have been doing life together at Immanuel for 5 years! This is a sweet moment in our little history, and we want to celebrate with you and honor the work God is doing in and through us.
Move to Two Services: 9am + 11am
As we enter into the fall season, our community is growing. Though we wish we could bust out the walls of our building and fit our whole community in one room, that is not what September holds for us. Instead, we will meet at 9am and 11am on Sunday mornings to ensure that every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed and has a place to sit.
Camp Update Sunday
Our church is highly connected with the Youth for Christ ministry in Spokane. A number of our church folks will be headed off to camp with a busload of youth from the West Central and Hillyard neighborhoods from August 11th-16th. This Sunday we will hear about their experiences and the ways in which God met kids and leaders on this trip.
Fancy Feast
Join Youth For Christ staff and volunteers for a Thanksgiving feast put on for the whole neightborhood! Folks from Kendall Yards will be providing the food, Immanuel with MC the event, and all are welcome--neighborhood folk, YFC youth, Immanuel members alike.
